Michel Grayson was 22 years old and loved baseball. He got his love of baseball from his elementary school, Honey Cake Elementary school.  One day, Grayson thought to himself to go back to his elementary school, so he could meet his old teachers, bus drivers, janitors, and cafeteria staff. He later heard that his old school was shut down because a tornado struck it. Grayson was disappointed but he decided to go anyway.

When he got to school, he realized many things changed. The bright honey yellow color of the school turned into a dull, almost disgusting shade of yellow. It was dirty and abandoned.

Grayson walked around the school and soon reached his third-grade classroom. He saw the picture of Roberto Clemente on the floor. The picture that he had once promised to become a baseball player. He stepped inside the classroom and picked up the picture.

BOOM! CHAKA LAKA!! Roberto Clemente came out of the picture and said to Grayson “Hello, old friend,  I missed when Honey Cake was open so I am going to have a little fun with you”.

“Wait what-” Grayson began but before a blink of an eye, he was transported to his past. He was now eight years old and in his Baseball club in Honey Cake Elementary.

When the pitcher threw the ball, Grayson swung the ball like it was his last chance. Then the pitcher swang 2 more times while Grayson kept hitting it. Then, Grayson heard cheering from the stands, he won the game for them!!! His teammates were running around the field carrying him. He went into the sports gym and promised on the picture of his favorite player that he would play baseball forever. Wow! What a wonderful day! He was then zapped back into being a 22 year old.

“Well, how was the memory?” Clemente asked  Grayson. “I feel like I don't want to be a grown-up and back to being a kid in Honey Cake Elementry,” Grayson said.

“We all wish that Grayson” Clemente sighed.

Then Grayson walked to the basement of the school which used to be the gym storage room

“Look at all these baseball bats and gloves that haven’t got picked up yet”, Clemente said with a sigh. “It’s too bad that everyone is all gone now and none of this is put to use”. Clemente said that as he disappeared into dust. Then, there was a picture of Roberto Clemente on the floor, the same one he saw laying on the classroom floor.

Grayson decided to take the picture home and polish it. When Michel finished polishing the picture, he put it on his trophy stand. Then he saw Clemente’s picture wink at him. He promised the picture that He will keep his baseball spirit alive and play every weekend with his friends.
